FAQs.

Here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions.

  • How do I book an appointment?
Call us at 416-438-5665 during business hours or visit our online portal HERE to schedule an appointment.
  • I need to be seen today. What should I do?
Call us during the day and ask to be seen the same day (we have appointments set aside each day for urgent visits). We are also part of a group of doctors who share on-call for all our patients on evenings and weekends. You can “walk in” to our After Hours clinic and be seen the same day. Visit http://myowndoctor.ca/ to find out today’s on-call doctor. For medical emergencies please call 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency department.
  • What if I have to cancel my appointment?
Call us as soon as you know your appointment is no longer needed so we can book other patients who would like to be seen earlier. We request a minimum of 24 hours notice. There may be a charge for repeated missed appointments.
  • How long will my appointment last?
We schedule 10-15 minutes for a typical office visit. We schedule 20-30 minutes for certain special appointment types (complete physicals, counselling, procedures, etc…). Please let our staff know if you think you may need a longer visit.
  • How early should I be there for my appointment?
We request that patients arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled appointment so that we can prepare for your visit.
  • I only booked an appointment for myself, but my family member also needs to be seen. What should I do?"
When booking an appointment, please make sure to book a separate appointment for everyone that needs to be seen. We see patients by scheduled appointments and do our best to run on time. To be fair to patients who booked an appointment, those patients without an appointment may have to wait until the end of clinic day to be seen.
  • Can I walk in without an appointment?
We only see patients by scheduled appointment. If you show up without an appointment and the doctor’s schedule is full we may not be able to accommodate your request. We have special same-day appointments every day so that patients with urgent problems can be seen right away. Please call early in the day to book one of these appointments. To help us be prepared for your visit we ask that you call and schedule your visit in advanced.
